This policy explains what DoseDyno collects, how the app uses that information, and the choices you have. DoseDyno does not sell personal information. Your meal photos, nutrition logs, profile, and Apple Health or Health Connect information are not used to target advertisements.

I. Information We Process

  • Account information: Firebase user ID, display name, email address when you use email or Apple sign-in, language, timezone, and subscription status.
  • Profile and nutrition information: age or birth year, sex, height, weight, goals, dietary preferences, health conditions you choose to enter, meal logs, nutrient totals, supplement inventory, and reminder settings.
  • Apple Health information: with your permission, selected activity, sleep, heart-rate, height, body-mass, and nutrition data. DoseDyno may store summaries needed to create app reports. Apple Health permissions are optional and can be changed in iOS Settings.
  • Android Health Connect information: with your permission and your DoseDyno account's explicit sync consent, DoseDyno reads steps, sleep sessions, resting heart rate, height, and weight. It processes these into daily step, sleep, and resting-heart-rate summaries stored in your account's Firebase database for reports and nutrition context. Sync refreshes while the app is open and can recover up to 30 recent dates when your permissions allow it. Height and weight can prefill profile fields you choose to save. If you allow nutrition writing, saved meal nutrients can also be written to Health Connect. Access is optional; disconnect sync in DoseDyno or change individual permissions in Health Connect. Disconnecting stops future sync and does not automatically delete summaries already stored in your DoseDyno account.
  • Photos: meal and supplement-label photos you choose to upload for analysis.
  • Purchase and device information: StoreKit transaction identifiers and signed transaction data, or Google Play purchase tokens and subscription identifiers, used to verify subscriptions, plus Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens used to deliver notifications.
  • Advertising information: when advertising is enabled, Google's AdMob SDK may process IP addresses, app- or device-bounded identifiers, diagnostic and performance data, ad impressions, and ad interactions to deliver and measure advertisements and prevent fraud.

II. How We Use Information

We use this information to authenticate your account, sync your data, estimate nutrition from photos, maintain supplement inventory, create structured summaries, verify purchases, deliver reminders, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and operate the service. DoseDyno outputs are informational estimates and are not medical diagnoses.

III. Cloud and AI Processing

DoseDyno is not an on-device-only service. Account data, app records, health summaries, and uploaded photos are processed through Google Firebase services, including Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, App Check, and Cloud Messaging. Meal photos, supplement-label photos, and relevant text prompts may be sent by our server to our AI model provider for analysis. Apple processes HealthKit permissions, Sign in with Apple, and StoreKit purchases under Apple's terms. Android handles Health Connect permissions on your device, and Google Play handles Android subscription billing when available. Selected Health Connect summaries are uploaded by DoseDyno after your sync consent; Health Connect does not automatically send your data to our database. We use these providers to operate DoseDyno. Their processing and retention are governed by the relevant service agreements and provider privacy terms.

Free accounts may see a Google AdMob native advertisement while a photo is being analyzed. DoseDyno requests non-personalized ads and does not send meal photos, nutrition information, profile details, account IDs, or Apple Health or Health Connect data as ad-targeting parameters. The analysis continues independently of advertising, and results do not require viewing or clicking an ad. PRO accounts do not see these analysis advertisements. Google manages advertising under its Privacy Policy.

With your permission, our public website uses Google Analytics to measure page visits. Analytics cookies help distinguish visits, and Google processes information such as the page viewed, referring website, browser and device information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We remove query strings and URL fragments from the page and referrer addresses sent to Analytics. We do not send your DoseDyno account ID, email address, photos, nutrition logs, or health information to website Analytics, and we disable Google signals and advertising personalization.

Google Analytics is not loaded before you accept analytics cookies. You can reject them or change your choice at any time using Analytics privacy choices in the website footer. Rejecting after acceptance stops analytics and removes this website's Google Analytics cookies. We also keep analytics off when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. Your analytics choice is stored in your browser so we can remember it. Google explains its processing in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

IV. Retention and Deletion

Small meal-photo thumbnails may be retained with your food logs and synced to your other devices. The app also keeps protected local previews to display your history offline. Original analysis uploads are normally removed after processing; a failed cleanup may require a later retry.

We retain account data and uploaded content while your account is active, unless a shorter period is required for operational or legal reasons. You can choose Delete Account in the app settings to request deletion of your DoseDyno account data, uploaded files, notification token, and authentication account. You can also request account deletion through our account deletion page. Data already written to Apple Health or Health Connect is controlled through the corresponding health service and may need to be deleted there separately. Limited security, transaction, or deletion records may be retained where required to prevent fraud, complete deletion, restore an eligible active App Store or Google Play purchase, or comply with law. Deleting a DoseDyno account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; subscriptions must be managed separately through Apple or Google Play.

V. Security

We use access controls, encrypted network transport, platform authentication, App Check, and provider-managed encryption at rest. No system can guarantee absolute security. Do not upload information you do not want processed by the service.

VI. Your Choices and Rights

You can manage camera and notification permissions in your device settings, Apple Health access in iOS Settings, and Android health access in Health Connect. Depending on your region, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.

Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform asks for your advertising privacy choices before ads are requested. You can reopen Ad privacy choices in the app's Profile screen when this option is required. DoseDyno does not request permission for cross-app tracking.

VII. Children and Changes

DoseDyno is intended for people aged 18 and older. We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date or an in-app notice where appropriate.
